Orthodontics is a specialty of dentistry that deals with the diagnosis, prevention, and correction of malpositioned teeth and jaws, and misaligned bite patterns. It can also focus on modifying facial growth, known as Dentofacial Orthopedics.

General surgery is a medical or dental specialty that uses operative manual and instrumental techniques on a person to investigate or treat a pathological condition such as a disease or injury, to help improve bodily function or appearance or to repair unwanted ruptured areas.

Restorative dentistry is the study, diagnosis and integrated management of diseases of the teeth and their supporting structures and the rehabilitation of the dentition to functional and aesthetic requirements of the individual.

Oral pathology, is a specialty involved with the diagnosis and study of the causes and effects of diseases affecting the oral and maxillofacial regions (i.e. The mouth, the jaws and the face). 

Oral and maxillofacial surgery is a surgical specialty focusing on reconstructive surgery of the facefacial trauma surgery, the oral cavityhead and neckmouth, and jaws, as well as facial cosmetic surgery.

Prosthodontics, also known as dental prosthetics or prosthetic dentistry, is the area of dentistry that focuses on dental prostheses. The ADA defines it as "the dental specialty pertaining to the diagnosis, treatment planning, rehabilitation and maintenance of the oral function, comfort, appearance and health of patients with clinical conditions associated with missing or deficient teeth or oral and maxillofacial tissues using biocompatible substitutes.

General medicine: is the branch of medicine that deals with the diagnosis and (nonsurgical) treatment of diseases of the internal organs especially in adults
